What is the Monument Summit?

The Monument Summit highlights the economic and cultural ramifications that monuments, landmarks and public art can enable in otherwise empty spaces. As part of this education, the event connects the people who have this kind of space with the creators who can fill them to enable such benefits.

Attendees will experience two days' worth of defined networking and matchmaking with artists and engagement experts to help them understand the economic opportunities they can enable for their business or location. They'll come away from the event with defined action items around how to turn those ideas into reality that generate interest, and revenue. They'll also make defined connections with stakeholders that are exploring similar opportunities and challenges.

More Info

The Monument Summit is an event for anyone who has space or desire to enable an economic or social opportunity for themselves or their community. It’s for anyone who’s looked at an empty space and wondered what could be there. It’s for people who want to think about art as an opportunity, rather than as a cost. Designed to be a meeting place for the people who have these empty spaces and creators that can fill them, The Monument Summit provides participants with countless options and opportunities.

A deeper exploration of this value and these learnings is available across three books:

Whether you're looking for a specific type of monument or are simply exploring your options related to a given space, the creators who are part of the event are there to collaborate with attendees on whatever level is best for them logistically, financially and creatively.
